1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES

PIO Design Studio provides digital marketing services (website design, social media management, photography, virtual tours) for fire and EMS agencies, free educational resources, and a Job Board that helps match job seekers with public safety employers.

2. ACCOUNTS AND JOB BOARD USE 

​

• Account Registration: you agree to provide accurate information when registering for the Platform and are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. 

• Job Listings: employers posting listings agree that all content will be accurate, lawful, and compliant with applicable employment laws. You are solely responsible for the content of your listing and any consequences of inaccurate information. 

• Job Applications: applicants agree to provide truthful information. PIO Design Studio is not responsible for the hiring decisions of employers, does not guarantee employment outcomes, and does not independently verify the authenticity of job listings; users should conduct their own due diligence.

3. FREE RESOURCES AND LEAD MAGNETS

We offer free resources (such as our Content Calendar) in exchange for your contact information. These resources are provided "as-is" for informational purposes only. You agree to independently verify any statistics or best practices referenced in our free resources before publishing or acting on them. We are not responsible for outcomes resulting from your use of this content.

4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & USER CONTENT

Our Content

All proprietary content on our Site, our Platform, and in our free resources — including text, graphics, logos, and templates — is the property of PIO Design Studio. Free resources are licensed for your department's internal use only. You may not resell, redistribute, or use our materials to create competing products or services, or remove any proprietary notices.

Your Content 

​

You retain ownership of any content you upload to the Platform, including resumes, cover letters, and job listings. By uploading content, you grant PIO Design Studio a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content strictly in connection with operating the Platform. This license ends when you delete your content or account, except with respect to copies an employer has already downloaded, or as needed to comply with legal or recordkeeping obligations.

5. PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES 

​

You agree not to use the Site or Platform to: 

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information 

• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with one 

• Harass, intimidate, or threaten other users 

• Transmit unsolicited advertising or harmful code, or engage in scraping or automated data collection 

• Circumvent any technical measures we use to protect the Site or Platform, including for the purpose of building a competing service 

• Violate any applicable local, state, or federal law

6. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

Our Site, Platform, and free resources are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site or Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that results obtained through them — including social media growth, engagement, or job placement outcomes — will meet your expectations. PIO Design Studio is a marketing and job-matching platform, not an employer, staffing agency, or guarantor of employment.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PIO Design Studio and its owners, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or Platform. Our total liability for any claim arising out of your use of our Services shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold PIO Design Studio harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your User Content, your use of the Site or Platform, or your violation of these Terms.

8. THIRD-PARTY TOOLS AND SERVICE AGREEMENTS

Paid agency services (website design, social media management, photography, virtual tours, etc.) are governed by separate written contracts, which supersede these general Terms with respect to those services. Our Site and Platform may reference or rely on third-party tools — including Wix (Site hosting), JBoard.io (Platform hosting), and Metricool — over which we have no control. Your use of any third-party tool is subject to that provider's own independent terms.

9. GOVERNING LAW 

​

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site or Platform is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Massachusetts.

10. MISCELLANEOUS 

​

• Entire Agreement: these Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and PIO Design Studio regarding the Site and Platform, superseding any prior agreements on the same subject (except for separate written service contracts described in Section 8). 

• Severability: if any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. 

• Assignment: we may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; you may not assign these Terms without our written consent.

11. CHANGES AND CONTACT 

​

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates will be posted with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Site or Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
